ANZENDISK
The Anzendisk is a specialized grinding or cutting disc equipped with a depth stop in the form of a second layer, which acts as a guide. This innovative feature allows the user to cut material to a precise thickness, preventing any damage to underlying components.
In communication infrastructure systems, such as those involving electrical, telephone cables, or optical fibers, these elements are often housed within protective pipes or tubes made of PVC or other plastic materials. During repair or connection operations, or when installing new cables, it is often necessary to cut into these protective pipes to access the internal components. Sometimes the pipe must be fully cut through, while in other cases, a partial cut is needed to create an access point.
The primary challenge when cutting these pipes is avoiding damage to the sensitive technical elements inside, which are sometimes in direct contact with the pipe wall. Once the blade pierces the thickness of the pipe, there's a risk of cutting too deeply, potentially damaging these elements.
Relying solely on the user’s precision can lead to mistakes, causing costly repairs, replacement of damaged components, and even posing a risk of injury or electrocution if electrical cables are involved.
The use of the following PPE is necessary: protective clothing, ear protection, high shoes, glasses, gloves and helmet.

ABOUT THE INVENTOR
The Anzendisk was developed by a network electrician who experienced these challenges firsthand. This tool allows a worker to cut through the protective pipe without reaching the cables or components inside, significantly increasing safety by preventing accidental contact with live electrical wires.
In addition to improved safety, the Anzendisk also offers financial savings by reducing the risk of damaging expensive cables, such as optical fibers, which are time-consuming and costly to repair.
The disccomes in two sizes: 80 mm and 120 mm, with a fixed cutting depth of 7.5 mm. It is currently patent-pending, and our legal team can provide further details regarding its registration.lyer à télécha
